Erin Evans is an EAS Certified Master Beekeeper and holds and advanced certification in Permaculture design.  Overland Apiaries is founded on the principles that working with nature is fun and smart.  We are happiest when we observe what is going on around us and work with the systems at play to create the outcomes we desire. Our farm creates fruits and vegetables, eggs, honey, and other products -all naturally, with no chemical fertilizers.

The bees create amazing honey from the wide variety of nectar sources available within flying distance of our home here in Portland Maine.  In the process they pollinate literally millions of flowers each year, increasing plant fruit and seed production throughout the city, and increasing the abundance of food for humans and wildlife.   Your support of our farm supports the entire ecosystem.
